Meet the Founders
We're Mike and Kim, a software developer and an occupational therapist, and parents to two wonderful toddlers.
As parents, we discovered the power of storytelling as a parenting sidekick. A simple story could turn a scary dentist visit into an adventure, or help our kids understand why sharing matters. With Kim's background in occupational therapy, we knew how much preparation and understanding can mean for little ones, and stories became one of our favorite tools at home.
We built Piko Story to make that same magic accessible to every family, combining Kim's expertise in child development with Mike's passion for building thoughtful software.
Our Mission
Preparation stories have been used for decades by therapists, educators, and parents to help children understand and navigate everyday situations. But creating them has always been time-consuming and difficult.
