Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using Piko Story ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.
Description of Service
Piko Story is a mobile application and web service that allows users to create personalized children's stories with AI-generated illustrations. The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate story text and illustrations based on user-provided information.
User Accounts
To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activities that occur under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you must have parental consent to use the Service.
Credits and Payments
The Service operates on a credit system:
- New users receive a limited number of free credits
- Additional credits may be purchased through in-app purchases
- Credits are non-refundable and non-transferable
- One credit is consumed for each character or story created
All purchases are final. We do not provide refunds for unused credits except as required by applicable law.
User Content
You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Service (photos, character descriptions, story prompts). By submitting content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive license to use, process, and display your content for the purpose of providing the Service.
You agree not to submit content that:
- Violates any applicable laws or regulations
- Infringes on intellectual property rights of others
- Contains inappropriate, offensive, or harmful material
- Depicts real individuals without their consent (except your own children with appropriate consent)
Generated Content
Stories and illustrations generated by the Service are created for your personal, non-commercial use. You may:
- View and share your generated content with family and friends
- Print stories for personal use
- Use the sharing features within the app
You may not:
- Sell or commercially distribute generated content
- Use generated content to train AI models
- Remove any watermarks or attribution
Prohibited Uses
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Generate content that is harmful, threatening, abusive, or illegal
- Attempt to reverse engineer or extract the AI models
- Circumvent any security features or usage limits
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service
- Use automated systems to access the Service without permission
Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies or unexpected results.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Piko Story shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the Service.
Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes through the app or by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflicts of law principles.
